Dear Freshman Year of College,

Thank you for giving me the experience of a lifetime. I’ve grown up tremendously this past school year being all on my own. I learned how to take care of and find myself. It was definitely a whirlwind of emotions the entire time of stress, joy, sadness, excitement, failure and success. I know I can’t do everything and can’t please everyone. Not everyone is going to like you, and that’s just life. It’s the way it is, and I really learned that this past year. I know now what it means to be ambitious and be driven towards a career, future or goal in general.
Joining a sorority was one of the best decisions I have ever made, I met AMAZING girls in DG and have built so many close friendships that I am so thankful for. People around you aren’t trying to push you down but bring you up. Everyone is just trying to do well in school and have a great time. It was really hard at times, but I had to prioritize of what’s important. Again, you can’t please everyone.
This year was bigger than some girl drama, boy problems, or a few bad grades. Everything turned out great, and I’m thankful for who I met and the fantastic memories made. I can’t wait for more.

Here’s to the next three years.

Lace Peplum & Boyfriend Jeans

Okay, so I definitely wanted to do one last photo shoot/blog post before I left Norman with my good friend (and sorority sister) Chandler! She's an amazing photographer, and I had so much fun doing this shoot with her especially before finals. I put this outfit together keeping the ripped boyfriend jeans as the staple piece in mind. I love them. At first, I was super hesitant about the trend because I didn't want them to make me look like a hobo, but they turned out okay with the right shoes.
I also really wanted to style this new top I got during a fun weekend in Tulsa, and you can find it here (and it's on sale!) I love it because it's so versatile and you can add a necklace like I'm wearing for a pop of color. I know my looks are super focused on accessories, but I can't help it because that's always my favorite part. This Rebecca Minkoff bag is so cute and the perfect neutral, blush color, it's sold out but the black is still available!

I should probably be studying right now, but writing for my blog is more fun :) I'll talk to y'all soon since my freshman year of college is coming to a close!
